Run Robotics helps robotics teams learn from real failures faster. Our platform turns physical rollouts into structured evidence, repeatable evals, and clear release decisions.
As a hardware member of technical staff, you will own the systems that connect robots, sensors, test fixtures, and data capture to our evaluation platform. You will make physical trials reproducible enough to validate whether a policy actually improved.
What you’ll do
- Design and build instrumentation, fixtures, and data acquisition systems for repeatable robot evaluation.
- Integrate cameras, force sensors, compute, networking, and safety systems across customer robot platforms.
- Develop calibration and health check procedures that make physical test results reliable.
- Partner with ML engineers to translate failure modes into controlled physical experiments.
- Own lab operations, deployment playbooks, and debugging across hardware and software boundaries.
What we’re looking for
- Experience designing, integrating, or operating complex robotics or mechatronics systems.
- Comfort with electronics, sensors, embedded systems, mechanical prototyping, and hands on lab work.
- Working knowledge of Python or C++ and common robotics middleware.
- A disciplined approach to safety, calibration, test design, and root cause analysis.
Nice to have
- Experience with ROS 2, industrial arms, mobile manipulation, or high throughput robotics labs.
- Experience building automated test equipment or production quality data collection systems.
- Familiarity with robot learning datasets and rollout collection.
How we work
We are a small, technical team working closely with robotics researchers. We value direct evidence, clear writing, fast experiments, and the humility to update our view when the robot disagrees.
Run Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
